In honor of the first
meeting of UCM at Millersville University (March 2, 1967), United Campus
Ministry held a very special 40th Anniversary Banquet on March 2, 2007!
Held at Bolger Conference Center on the grounds of the university,
alumni, former board members and ministers, and current students came
together to honor the success and hard work of United Campus Ministry at
Millersville University for the past forty years. In addition, two
very special people - both of whom were influential in the creation and
maintaining of UCM - were honored with a plaque and standing ovation.
Rev. William Brown, longtime board member, and Rev. Robert Sayre, campus
minister from 1981-1997, were honored by all in attendance. Also
adding to the banquet were presentations by Rev. Hubert Flescher (first
campus minister) on the early years, Jim Peightel (UCM alumnus) on the
middle years, and TJ Remaley (current student president) on the current
